The Scheurebe is a offspring of the Riesling. So it brings with it a racy, fruity species and invites you to enjoy. The white wine variety was bred in 1916 by the vine grower Georg Scheu in the nearby Alzey, near our winery. It is mainly known in Rheinhessen and occasionally bears the name Sämling 88 or S88. The Riesling x Buketttraube varieties were crossed for the Scheurebe.
We recommend the scheurebe fineherb well cooled at 8-10°C. Lovers of semi-dry wines enjoy the particularly pronounced fruitiness and aroma. It smells and tastes of tropical fruits, gooseberries and particularly aromatic. To toast with friends and enjoy unbeatable.
